The questions people actually ask.
Including the ones agencies tend to avoid answering in writing.
How much life insurance do I actually need?
There is no single answer, but the usual starting point is: what would have to keep getting paid if your income stopped? A mortgage, other debts, years of household expenses, childcare, and final expenses. Some people add education costs. An agent will work through it with you rather than handing you a rule of thumb.
What does a policy cost?
It depends on your age, the state you live in, the product, the amount of coverage, and how the carrier underwrites your health history. That is why we will not put a number on this page — any premium quoted before those things are known is not a real quote. Ask an agent and you will get a real one.
Does it cost anything to talk to you?
No. There is no fee to speak with an agent, compare options, or apply. If you buy a policy, Maxivita Insurance LLC is paid a commission by the insurance carrier that issues it — that commission comes from the carrier, not as an extra charge on top of your premium.
Do I have to take a medical exam?
It depends on the product and the carrier. Some policies are fully underwritten and include a paramedical exam; others are simplified issue and are issued without a medical exam. Issuance of coverage still depends on your answers to the health questions in the application — no exam does not mean no underwriting, and inaccurate answers can cause a claim to be denied.
What if I have health problems?
Carriers treat the same condition very differently from one another. Being independent is most valuable exactly here: we can take your situation to the carrier most likely to underwrite it well. There are also simplified and guaranteed issue products designed for people who would not qualify for fully underwritten coverage — see our final expense page for how the waiting periods on those work.
What is a graded death benefit?
On many guaranteed issue policies, if death occurs from natural causes within the first two to three policy years, the policy returns the premiums paid plus interest rather than the full face amount. The full benefit applies after that period, and accidental death is usually covered in full from the start. The exact terms are set by the issuing carrier and stated in the policy — always ask before you apply.
Can I change my mind after I buy?
Yes. Most states require a free-look period — commonly ten to thirty days from delivery — during which you can return the policy for a refund of premium. The exact period is printed in your policy. After that, you can cancel at any time, though you may not get money back on a term policy.
Are you an insurance company?
No. Maxivita Insurance LLC does not issue policies, underwrite risk, or pay claims. Policies are issued and claims are paid by the insurance carrier that underwrites them, and any guarantees depend on that carrier's financial strength and claims-paying ability.

What will you do with my information?
We use it to have a licensed agent contact you and, if you move forward, to submit an application to a carrier. We do not sell your information to unrelated marketers. The full detail — including how to opt out and how to withdraw consent to be contacted — is in our privacy policy and GLBA privacy notice.
How do I stop the calls or texts?
Reply STOP to any text and we will stop texting that number. Ask any agent to put you on our internal do not call list, or email compliance@maxivita.io with the phone number, and we will honor it. You may withdraw consent at any time by any reasonable method.
